NEWS RELEASE: New “MyWayfinder” Tech Platform to be Launched, Offering one-stop access to help families navigate health, education, and human services

First-of-its-kind community-built platform connects Rochester area residents to critical support with just one secure profile.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (August 11th, 2025) —This Thursday, August 14th, TogetherNow will officially launch MyWayfinder, a groundbreaking online platform that helps individuals and families easily find and access vital social care services like food, job training, rent assistance and more.

Developed in collaboration with more than 100 partner organizations, MyWayfinder has already served 28,000 unique visitors logging over 160,000 resource searches during an extended soft launch. The platform allows users to create a single, secure profile to search for support, save results, and share up-to-date information with providers. Built on a scalable cloud environment with IBM, it draws from the trusted 211/LIFE LINE database and complies with HIPAA and FERPA privacy standards.

Congressman Joe Morelle will join community leaders on August 14 to celebrate the public rollout of this innovative tool that’s transforming how Rochester connects care.
