Last month we launched MyWayfinder more publicly than ever before.
For seven years, we’ve quietly built, tested, and improved this custom platform alongside our community. What started as a vision is now a reality: 41 local organizations so far have connected services in MyWayfinder, and by the day of our press conference, over 150,000 searches had already been made. For many, MyWayfinder was already launched.

We’ve brought MyWayfinder to resource events, job fairs, libraries, asking people what they’re looking for and how we can help them find it.
Because MyWayfinder isn’t just a tool—it’s a living, growing response to the evolving needs of real people.
Can a product like this ever truly be “done”? Maybe not. And that’s the point.
As the social care landscape grows more uncertain, we knew it was time to stand up and offer something powerful to residents in our region: a better way to find help.
Rochester, NY, has always led with innovation, and MyWayfinder is part of that tradition. It’s built from thousands of hours of collective design, lived experience, provider feedback, and community advocacy, all coming together to make sure no one falls through the cracks.
“Rochester, NY, has always led with innovation, and MyWayfinder is part of that tradition.”
At our launch, we made space for something just as important as shared purpose: joy. Because joy, hope, and resilience are at the heart of systems change. And this work is worth celebrating.
We’re only as strong as the connections we help make. So join us in spreading the word:
You can find help, your way, with MyWayfinder.
